This class explores the history and advancements in radiation therapy immobilization, with a focus on thermoplastics. From early methods to the introduction of thermoplastic materials in the 1970s, it examines their properties, manufacturing processes, and current clinical applications, such as SRS and IMRT. This session also highlights emerging innovations, including biodegradable materials, augmented reality-assisted fitting, and unique customization, offering insights into the evolving future of patient immobilization in radiation therapy.
This class offers 1 CE credit (ARRT & MDCB). A certificate will be emailed to the participant upon successful course and quiz completion.
